Losing CthulhuOnline…

So I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that the domain is going away, but this leaves me in a weird spot.  I very haven’t not had a domain in a very long time.  But seeing as how I am attempting to be cheap, I figure I can use a free domain – I already have one, themurfman.is-a-geek.com, for that matter – and Blogger.  The real reason is for the outlet and to play.  If I have my Linux box and CLI then I am really happy there.

Anyway, life moves on I suppose.  Maybe someone can actually make use of the damn domain and do something with it.  Cthulhu knows I couldn’t.

CthulhuOnline.com is back online!!

I was able to get CthulhuOnline back online today thanks to my buddy Greg who is providing hosting space. I am still uncertain about the future of this blog, though.

A New Year!

Well this is the first post for the new year! Still no one is reading this but I am fine with that. Lots of things in the fire right now, most prominently joining a secret society in my spare time. But also trying to bring together interesting Lovecraftian postings from the web in one spot.

Like this posting of the Ghostbusters cartoon where they are combating The Great Cthulhu, they won so we obviously know this is a work of fanciful fiction.

Oh and nother article regarding Guillermo del Toro’s possible project, “At the Mountains of Madness” among other darker subject matter.

Have a great new year and I will keep everyone posted!

MurfMan in Exile…

Well here I am at Blogger once again. Strange coming back after so much time. I have been running a LAMP server out of my house for a few years now and finally decided I could upgrade my local network to wireless-g. Little did I know that doing so would involve me losing all internal connections between machines on my LAN. So anyway no one visits my damn site anymore any way so moving here is no biggie.

I am going to Fry’s in the morning with a guy from work, Scotty. I can’t wait to get there and revel in my gadgeted geekiness. I will be looking for a wireless-g adapter for my laptop, to replace the b card i have now, and flash media… because you can never have enough flash media.

So anyway, I will be here for the time being… nice being back.
