Meet Addison Kay Murphy

So one week ago My wife gave birth to my second child, her third, Addison Kay Murphy. She weighed in at 9lbs. 4oz. and was 21” long with a 14” head circumference. Things went so well that we were allowed to take mom and baby home after just one night in the hospital. Since then everything has been going well and we are all trying to adjust to the new sleeping schedule, which quite honestly isn’t that bad.

Sorry for the delayed reaction on getting this post up, but things have been crazy around here. So much so that I have started reading more short stories and have neglected the 45 book goal for the time being, which really isn’t a big deal since I scheduled for this. Anyway, here are some pictures of the new baby.

Local Idiot Crashes Bugatti Veyron

I had to read this a few times to make sure it was real. First the Veyron is my favorite car of all time, second it costs like $1.5 million, third 1000 HP, fourth fastest production car ever made. It is a car lover hard on. So some joker from Lufkin, TX driving his Veyron in Galveston crashes it into a ditch. WTF?!? What type of loser crashes a fucking Veyron into a ditch??

This just makes me sick here’s a link and I will try to find the video mentioned.

UPDATE!!

So after a bit more research I have found out that the moron’s name is Andy House who owns Xtreme Audio and Performance Auto Sales, a luxury car restoration business (ironic?) in Lufkin, Texas. Apparently he has a number of other expensive cars, including a Ford GT that I saw in town, and has allowed people to sit in and view them in the past. So all around he sounds like a nice guy.

However, House’s  “Oh shit, a pelican!” statement has started to look fishy. Locally, Andy has bragged that the car was insured for $2 million, well over the purchase price of about $1.25 just a few weeks ago. And coupled with the video below of the car slamming into the water with no sight of a pelican anywhere, well shit we all make mistakes. And most of us never have to worry about making one in a million dollar car.

I finished Turn Coat by Jim Butcher

And in respect to some people who actually come here and might conceivably read this. I won’t post spoilers until I know that they are finished with. If you haven’t gotten it yet, GO BUY IT!!

Canvas paintings

I bought a few canvases and did a few paintings yesterday. It was quite fun. I used markers and a silver-pen for these. Maybe a few of these will become christmas presents this year.

Canvas

I managed to find a place that sells really cheap canvases. I played around with a couple of markers and this was the result. Quick and easy. It was done for a good friend of mine.

Grey letters

This is a further development of an earlier sketch. Pen-drawing traced in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop.

Carry that weight

This drawing was done on the bus on my way home from work and i was pretty happy with the result too considering it’s pretty hard to draw while humping up and down. I colored it quickly the following morning.

Strange shapes

I like to play around with organic shapes. This is one example. Made with pencils and ink.

Congratulations Mr. Obama!

This was done while following the election yesterday on TV, sipping wine. Some of the text on the bottle found it’s way into the drawing. I started on the head and the rest just came about.
As you can see it really has nothing to do with the election.
