So…What have i been up to?

Except from returning home from 2 weeks in Ibiza, not much mentioning really.

But what’s cool though is that some of my work has finally been released First of all Me and Øyvind Holen’s book ‘Hiphop’ was printed in July. Looking forward to be able to post some samples from it when it’s been released (which should be now in August).

I also did 4 T-shirt/hoodie prints for Lilia Gjerstads JLH-label (Johnny leave home) last fall for the 2010 winter collection.

I’m awaiting some samples so stay tuned for some better pictures.

The book is written by Øyvind Holen and is illustrated by me. Working hard at the moment to finish the drawings required for it. This book is for the younger audience and contains facts, interviews, cartoons and tips. Read more about it HERE (Norwegian only).

Happy new year!

First update in 2009. Time flies!

This is a cap i got from a friend years ago and i decided to paint it with Posca-markers. I started using Posca-pens in 1985. We used them for painting on eachothers backpacks and whatnot.

Canvas paintings

I bought a few canvases and did a few paintings yesterday. It was quite fun. I used markers and a silver-pen for these. Maybe a few of these will become christmas presents this year.

Canvas

I managed to find a place that sells really cheap canvases. I played around with a couple of markers and this was the result. Quick and easy. It was done for a good friend of mine.

Grey letters

This is a further development of an earlier sketch. Pen-drawing traced in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop.

Carry that weight

This drawing was done on the bus on my way home from work and i was pretty happy with the result too considering it’s pretty hard to draw while humping up and down. I colored it quickly the following morning.

Strange shapes

I like to play around with organic shapes. This is one example. Made with pencils and ink.

Congratulations Mr. Obama!

This was done while following the election yesterday on TV, sipping wine. Some of the text on the bottle found it’s way into the drawing. I started on the head and the rest just came about.
As you can see it really has nothing to do with the election.

Speedpainting

It’s a long time since i did a speedpainting. This one took me about an hour and was done with a few custom-brushes made by a guy called Vyle for Photoshop. Basically i just played around with shapes until something came out of it.
